Kenneth Wren, Pastor

Ken was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where he was called into the gospel ministry at the age of 23.  He and his wife Connie, who married in 1980, then moved to Graceville, Florida where Ken graduated from the Baptist College of Florida with a Bachelors in Theology.  He continued his education through the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Extension Program and graduated with his Masters Degree in Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary. After serving churches for nearly 30 years in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, Ken came to the Grove in December 2017. 


Ken and Connie live in Clanton, Alabama and enjoy spending time with their daughter, son-in-law, and their grandson, Parker.  


Favorite sports

Ken is passionate Alabama Football fan who dreamed, as a child, of playing for Paul  "Bear"Bryant.  He loves spending Saturday afternoons pulling for his team and wearing his team colors.  

FAVORITE places

The Smoky Mountains are his vacation spot of choice and loves to take a fall getaway in a cabin near Pigeon Forge, TN.

Loves flavored coffees, especially maple! 


Can't get enough of Chris Tomlin or Casting Crowns.


Enjoys reading and listening to many Christian speakers and authors like Tony Evans, David Jeremiah and Paul Tripp.
